The South Tahoe Public Utility District (District) continues to track the ever-changing circumstances of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. The District is committed to protecting the health and safety of our community, our employees, and maintaining safe and reliable water and wastewater services. Below are programs adopted by the Board of Directors to support our community during these challenging and unprecedented times.
The District Board of Directors adopted a temporary rate relief program that offered a 50% credit on sewer bills for customers financially impacted by COVID-19. The program ran from September 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 and is no longer available.
April 1, 2021- The District Board of Directors approved waiving late fees for water and sewer bills due at the end of March
December 17, 2020 - The District Board of Directors approved waiving late fees for water and sewer bills due at the end of December
September 3, 2020 - The District Board of Directors approved waiving late fees for water and sewer bills due at the end of September
June 18, 2020 - The District Board of Directors approved waiving late fees for water and sewer bills due at the end of June.
March 20, 2020 - The District Board of Directors approved suspending service disconnections for non-payments.
