Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Assistant General Manager/Engineer, performs a wide variety of administrative and secretarial duties connected with contracts and projects of the District. Is responsible for District’s contract records, coordinating the flow of paperwork between the District and contractors, outside engineers, consultants and involved agencies.

Equipment Used

Electric typewriter, computer, copy machine, fax machine, microfilm/microfiche reader, calculator, binder, dictation equipment, recording equipment, heavy-duty stapler, postage machine and scale. If requested may use personal automobile.

Working Conditions

Main environment is that of an indoor office with some exposure to unpleasant wastewater treatment odors. The job may also involve the ability to operate a car and carry items (sometimes heavy) back and forth to meeting locations upon request. Must be able to work varied hours and work more than 40 hours per week on a frequent basis.
