Job Summary

Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and participating in all activities in the Customer Service department related to water and sewer system billing, collection, account processing and recordkeeping, meter reading and customer relations. Provides supervision and training to the three Customer Service department staff . This is a working supervisor position that may be required to perform other departmental duties as needed. This position also requires working closely with the Finance department in order to balance the general ledger on a monthly basis. This position also requires coordinating directly with other departments, specifically Inspections, Information Systems and Engineering departments to plan, implement, record and resolve meter issues related to billing. Supervises the collection, reporting, and reconciliation of the District’s daily cash receipts and performs other job-related duties as needed.

Working Conditions

Predominant work environment is that of an indoor office. Exposure to unpleasant odors at times. Sufficient lighting, including natural and fluorescent.
