Job Summary

Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, supervises the implementation and enforcement of all District Administrative Codes, policies, and state laws. Prepares routine and special reports and documents field inspection. Assists in the development of District Administrative Codes, policies, and specifications. Requires the ability to communicate effectively to support staff and the public to carry out stated requests. Maintains needed supplies and materials inventory. Supervises the District’s Water Metering Program. Administers the District’s cross-connection control program. Ensures that all work is performed safely and that all facilities are maintained in a safe condition. This is a working supervisor position.

Equipment Used

Computer, sledge-hammer, shovel, pick, lid locator, line locator, duplex gauge, differential gauge, soil moisture density probe, pry/digging bar, toilet tank metering device, and miscellaneous hand tools, meters, pipes, valves, meter/valve boxes and lids, pipefitting, conductivity tester and meter testing equipment.

Working Conditions

Widely varied indoor and outdoor work with exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving in snow and ice, working above and below ground level, and using equipment and materials associated with position. Requires working in varying depths of work trenches. Includes exposure to various sewage odors from treatment plant and collection system. Minimal exposure to gamma and neutron radiation from nuclear compaction tester.
