Job Summary

Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager and the supervision of the Inspections Supervisor, implements and enforces all District Administrative Codes, policies, and stated safety codes; inspects new water and sewer connections.

Equipment Used

Computer, sledge-hammer, shovel, pick, lid locator, line locator, pry/digging bar and miscellaneous hand tools, meters, pipes, valves, meter/valve boxes and lids, pipefitting, and meter testing equipment.

Working Conditions

Widely varied indoor and outdoor work with exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving (including icy conditions in winter), working above and blow ground level, and using equipment and materials associated with position. Requires working in varying depths of work trenches. Includes exposure to various sewage odors from treatment plant and collection system.
