STPUD Waives Late Fees and Service Disconnections

To assist customers during COVID-19, South Tahoe Public Utility District’s Board of Directors just approved waiving late fees for bills due at the end of March and suspending service disconnections for non-payments. For more information click here.

Flushing Wipes Causes Sewer Spills

We are seeing an increase in the number of disposable wipes in our wastewater system. These wipes clog up our system and are the main cause of sewer spills. Even wipes labeled “flushable” will clog pipes and interfere with sewage collection and treatment. Discard wipes in the trash, not the toilet. Help keep raw sewage out of our lake, rivers, and streams, by only flushing pee, poop and paper. Press release can be found here

Monthly Payments

We accept monthly payments from customers who find monthly payments more convenient.

You may make as many payments as you like during the quarter, but your balance must be paid in full by the due date to avoid penalties. For more information click here.
