Board of Directors and Leadership

The Board of Directors of the South Tahoe Public Utility District is committed to excellence in legislative leadership by providing the highest quality of service to its constituents. It is the duty of the Board of Directors to work with the General Manager to establish goals, formulate and adopt policy, and approve and monitor the annual budget. As elected officials, Directors do not represent segments of the community, but rather represent and act on behalf of the community as a whole. As such, Directors are elected by popular vote of the general public who reside within the District boundaries. They hold office for a 4-year term and elections are held every two years alternating election seats 1, 2 and 5 with election seats 3 and 4.

Meetings

The South Tahoe Public Utility District Board of Directors regularly meets the first and third Thursday of each month, at 2:00 p.m . Meetings are held at the District office, located at 1275 Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe, CA. Public participation is encouraged. The Agenda is accessible to the public at least 72 hours prior to the Regular Board meeting and is posted on the outdoor reader board.
